The Optimization Report consists of a series of tasks to help you take advantage of all of the features offered in your Yext account. When you first log into your Yext account, you will see a screen that says "Optimize Your Business" with a percentage in a circle next to it.
Beneath this heading, you will see a list of tasks with a short description and the approximate amount of time each task will take. In order to complete any of the tasks, click on the button that says "Optimize (#) location(s)" seen below:
Depending on how many locations you have in your account will determine the number that appears on the button.
After clicking this button, you will be prompted to complete the necessary actions to accomplish the task. After a task has been completed, your optimization percentage will increase. Once all of the tasks are finished, your optimization meter will read 100%.
Why is my optimization meter not at 100%?
It is important to note that not all of the tasks that are offered are relevant to every type of business. Therefore, it is not necessary for your account to reach 100% Optimization. For example, the task "Feature your Menu" is only applicable to restaurants. For non-restaurant businesses, this task may prevent your account from reaching 100%, but this does not mean that your account is not complete.
If you would like to opt out of a specific task, like "Feature your Menu" for example, you can do this in the "Account Features" section of your Account Settings. Once in this section, simply click "On" and switch it to "Off," as seen below.
No matter what percentage optimized your account is, Yext is still helping you to correct your business information on our partner publisher sites. The tasks are solely there for you to use as a guide to help you take advantage of every field that is applicable to you.
