How does Yext’s integration with Apple work?
Apple aggregates data from various sources to populate its Apple Maps listings. Yext’s integration with Apple enables us to submit location data via Apple’s data feed. Apple ranks location data from Yext very highly; information submitted via Yext is more likely to trump data from other sources.

However, there is no guarantee that data submitted via Yext will display on Apple Maps. We are not able to Match & Lock™ listings, nor do we get any indication of when Apple has accepted or rejected the location data we’ve sent them.

What types of location data does Apple accept from Yext?
Yext submits the following fields to Apple: Name, Address, Main Phone, Alternate Phone, Fax, Mobile Phone, Toll-Free Phone, Websites, Categories, Hours, Payment Methods, Latitude/Longitude, Twitter, & Facebook.

What is the location data update time for Apple Maps?
Yext’s integration with Apple only enables us to submit data via Apple’s data feed. Thus, Yext cannot guarantee real-time updates on Apple Maps.

What types of businesses does Apple Maps support?
Apple supports all businesses of all types, except for businesses with the categories: Locksmith, Garage & Overhead Doors, and Movers. Additionally, Apple does not accept location data for locations whose addresses have been suppressed.

How can I report issues with my clients’ listings?
You can report a problem directly in the app for both new and existing client locations. To correct a client’s location, please visit the Apple Maps listing on an iPhone and click the Report a Problem link at the bottom of the screen.

Can I promote Apple Maps to my clients?
Apple is one of the world’s most recognized brands and due to such a presence, has very precise promotional guidelines. Before incorporating Apple into your marketing efforts, carefully review the Apple Marketing Guidelines for information. Note, it is crucial that you abide by these guidelines so that Yext can maintain a positive and productive relationship with Apple — thus, increasing the value of your offering.

Will I be charged for access to this integration?
No — access to Yext’s Apple Maps integration comes at no additional cost to your subscription.

We ask that you carefully review the below guidelines before incorporating Apple into your marketing efforts.

Opportunities
You may leverage and share any analytics and reporting metrics containing the Apple logo with your clients.

Restrictions
You may not sell or position Apple Maps submission as a separate or incremental offering from Yext Listings.
For all intents and purposes, you may not leverage the Apple logo or any of Apple Inc’s associated logos. Please steer clear of promoting this on your website, marketing materials, messaging, etc.
